What is ISO/IEC 27001:2022?

As of my last update in January 2022, there was no ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard released. ISO/IEC 27001 is a widely recognized international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), last updated in 2013. However, standards are periodically reviewed and updated by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) to ensure relevance and effectiveness. If there has been a new release of ISO/IEC 27001 in 2022 or beyond, it would likely include updates to reflect changes in technology, cybersecurity threats, and best practices in information security management.
